Lack of a testicle in the scrotum is an acquired or congenital problem. An acquired testicle loss may appear as a result of surgical treatment (e.g. condition after oncological resection caused by testicle cancer; condition after removal of the testicle after a trauma or loss of a testicle as a result of spermatic cord twisting).
Congenital lack of a testicle in the scrotum requires urological diagnostics.
The treatment procedure eliminating the aesthetic defect is insertion of a testicle prosthesis (implant).
