Hyaluronic acid appears in the skin naturally – it is the primary component of the skin, which maintains correct level of hydration and firmness. Unfortunately, with age its quantity gradually decreases, as a result of which the skin gets dry, becomes flabby, there appear wrinkles, and the cheeks and lips lose their volume.
Preparations containing hyaluronic acid, injected into the dermis, effectively supplement its deficiency, hydrate the skin, fill the wrinkles, provide the volume, shape the lips, improve the face contour, stimulate natural skin regeneration processes thanks to which – even after the preparation is absorbed – the skin looks better than before the treatment.
Hyaluronic acid used for smoothing of wrinkles is a synthetic preparation, which significantly reduces the risk of allergy symptoms. It is very convenient to us, because it does not require a prior allergy test.
Is this a painful treatment?
One hour before the treatment, apply cream containing an anaesthetic into the area where the preparation is to be applied.
When does the effect appear and how long does it last?
The treatments for wrinkle smoothing with hyaluronic acid are highly effective, they provide immediate effects, but they are not performed once and for good. After 9-12 months, hyaluronic acid preparations gradually undergo degradation and they are completely absorbed. Then, the treatment should be repeated which, on the one hand, may be considered a disadvantage, but on the other hand – an advantage, because this makes them completely safe. They guarantee that after some time the effect will disappear and it will not cause a permanent change in the face appearance. Thus, the process is 100 percent reversible in time.
The preparations for hyaluronic acid wrinkle filling have the form of a crystalline, very plastic and elastic gel, which, once applied into the skin, fills in the wrinkle, giving very natural results. Applied through very thin needles, which reduces the pain sensations. After the gel is injected in the wrinkle line or the lips, the preparation binds water and increases the volume of the given area, while smoothing the wrinkles. The procedure usually takes up to 30 minutes. The result can be seen instantly in the mirror. The treatments do not prevent the patient from performing his/her daily activities.
After treatment, strong sunlight exposition (tanning bed) and heating (sauna) ought to be avoided for two weeks.
