Phimosis surgery with simultaneous phallus frenuloplasty

Phimosis – International Classification of Diseases: ICD 10 – N47 – a men's affection manifested by the inability to pull off the prepuce.

The Latin name phimosis comes from the Greek word φῑμός, that is a muzzle.

Several kinds of the phimosis abnormality are distinguished:

Congenital phimosis – appears from the birth, after the age of 2 (physiological gluing of the inner prepuce lamella with the glans mucous membrane appears until the age of 2)

Acquired phimosis – if the prepuce used to pull off properly, but subsequently it becomes difficult to pull off

Complete phimosis – if the phallus glans is not visible

Partial phimosis – if the phallus glans is visible, but the prepuce cannot be pulled off behind the glans groove

Functional phimosis – if the problem related to pulling off the prepuce concerns the erected phallus

The treatment procedure in the case of adult patients with phimosis is circumcision (complete surgical removal of the prepuce)
