Anti-cellulite therapy

Pregnancy is a beautiful, yet difficult period in a woman’s life. The body undergoes major changes, including body mass growth, water retention and hormone level fluctuations. All that creates conditions favourable to development of so-called “orange peel”, that is cellulite.

The primary mass of a woman’s fat tissue are the fat cells, i.e. adipocytes, dispersed within a skeleton created by collagen fibres constituting partitions between them. Separated in this way, the fat tissue takes the form of  “lobules” which, while increasing in volume during pregnancy, penetrate deeper into the skin and make its surface uneven. This pregnancy remnant is a nightmare of most new mums, even those who managed not to gain much weight.

Cellulite develops gradually over nine months, but getting rid of it does not require such a long time. Our clinic offers several effective methods of fighting this problem.

Please remember that the only cosmetic treatments allowed during the breastfeeding period are

Venus Legacy™

One of the best ways to fight stubborn fat and cellulite is the Venus Legacy™ treatment.

The treatment combines the impact of multipolar radio waves and pulsating magnetic fields to create a soothing and therapeutic warmth matrix on the skin.

Thanks to that, it operates in deeper skin layers, which causes greater blood circulation, instant softening and brilliance of the skin.

Results are visible as soon as after one treatment – without pain, discomfort or recovery period!

MedContour Medical

A completely non-invasive treatment, which involves dissolving and liquefying fat tissue under the influence of ultrasound waves. The MedContour Medical device emits ultrasound waves, which focus in the fat tissue, breaking up and liquefying fat cells. On the skin surface, ultrasound intensity is relatively low, whereas within the fat tissue, the waves meet and superimpose onto each other, thus effectively destroying excess centimetres remaining after pregnancy and firming the skin in the treated area.

Each treatment ends with lymphatic drainage which helps the dissolved tissue penetrate into the lymphatic system.

This method allows significant cellulite reduction after 3-5 sessions. Unfortunately, the treatments may not begin before you end breastfeeding.

Cryolipolysis – Zeltiq's Coolsculpting

Zeltiq’s Coolsculpting treatment, which shapes the silhouette without the use of a scalpel, is recommended to patients whose problem is local obesity, that is excessive quantity of fat tissue in difficult areas such as the belly, waist, love handles or thighs. Completely non-invasive treatment, during which cryolipolysis (fat tissue damage by low temperatures) takes place. Effects of significant fat tissue reduction are visible after 2-4 months and, on condition of keeping the correct diet, they are permanent.

If you choose cryolipolysis, you need to remember that this is not a method designed for body mass reduction, it does not replace a proper diet and physical exercise, but it helps shape the body and restore its appearance from before pregnancy.

The treatment is not recommended for breastfeeding women.

Mesotherapy and injection lipolysis

These methods involve injections of substances improving microcirculation within the fat tissue and enhancing its metabolism. The treatment is based on injections at the distance of 1-1.5 cm, involving introduction of such substances as caffeine, aminophylline, theophylline as well as herbal extracts, minerals and vitamins. The very process of skin piercing at small distances enhances collagen production and, consequently, improves skin elasticity. It ought to be remembered that the effects of cellulite reduction are only visible after a series of at least 3 treatments.

Injection lipolysis is a method designed for reducing local excessive deposits of fat tissue in difficult areas including inner and outer thigh surface or the area under the buttocks, that is areas where fat tissue usually deposits during pregnancy. The treatment proves to be very effective in the case of cellulite as well.

Injection lipolysis involves administration in the area of excess fat tissue of phosphatidylcholine, which damages fat cells and “dissolves” them. After the treatment, the given area becomes more tender and the patient may experience an itching, burning or even painful sensation. It is usually recommended to perform a series of treatments at 6-week intervals.

Both mesotherapy and injection lipolysis are not recommended for breastfeeding women.

Effects of the treatment include greater tension and smoothening of the skin surface as well as reduced thickness of the fat tissue.

The treatment is recommended for patients who hope for quick effects along with minimum invasiveness of the procedure. It is not recommended for breastfeeding women.

Thermage – cellulite reduction using radio waves

Thermage is a device applying radio waves to reduce cellulite and improve skin tension. The treatment causes heating up of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, which results in constriction of collagen fibres and, consequently, smoothening and firming of the skin.

The treatment proves to be very effective also in the case of patients whose belly skin became durably stretched during pregnancy. In the months following the treatment, new collagen fibres are produced and the skin structure is gradually strengthened.

The treatment is not recommended for breastfeeding women.
